Where is your oasis?
OASIS: “a pleasant or peaceful area or period in the midst of a difficult or hectic place or situation”
Oasis is a project that explores the themes of 'connection' through movement. Inspired by human bodies and organic forms, the project looks at how we can bring people closer to one another. The product is targeted towards young adults and university students, taking inspiration from my own experiences of living in London with my flatmates and collecting different furniture to decorate our home. I wanted to create something affordable and interesting that would allow users to decorate freely in multiple ways. My aim is for users to feel intrigued and comforted by the forms, as well as to bring users together through the play and movement of the pillows.
The product contains one large seat (60cmx120cmx48cm) one small bench (43cmx85cmx48cm), a range of different sized pillows (between 70cm to 30cm in length) in 3 different colours and one floor pillow (60cmx75cmx 10cm).
