Speculating Non-Place

The Joseph Rowntree Foundation emphasises how public spaces play a vital role in the social and economic life of communities. They are a social resource. They can assist in regenerating areas and in creating sustainable and more socially cohesive communities.

'Speculating Non-Place', visually, is obtuse, striking, out of place; the structure does not belong there. It's not supposed to be designed, exclusively, to storify the historical element of that place.

It challenges and tests the ability, use and composition of materials within a potentially habitable place.

Speculative architecture investigates scenarios for the future, it creates narratives surrounding how various forms of agency shape place and culture.
